AAPI-CF serves remote areas of India by establishing free clinics in different states and providing outreach programs for disease prevention and education. It aims to stimulate AAPI physicians to financially support but also provide their professional skills in remote areas in India since 1989. It organizes fund raising events, gathers donations and grants scholarships to interested physicians wishing to support India’s health sector.

Results

• Established 17 free clinics in different states of India (over a million patients annually)
• Support for 3 cancer centres
• Developed 3 major trauma centres and 1 hospital in Bhuj

Activities

• Establish medical care clinics in India (and US)
• Facilitated donations of medical equipment and supplies to India to government/municipal run or privately run charity hospitals
• Raised funds to establish physician fellowship programme
• Set up trauma centres and emergency clinics in India, AIDS diagnostics and education centres
• Granting scholarships to visiting specialists from India to the USA
